Wendy McDonald has experience working in the community, providing resources, and fostering
relationships. She has been an elementary school teacher for the Metropolitan School District of Pike
Township for the past 24 years. During her tenure, Wendy has been recognized for the Superintendent’s
Above and Beyond Award and Teacher of the Year. Wendy continues to be life-long learner participating in
trainings: Teacher Leadership Academy, C.L.A.S.S. and Elevated Ed Summer Institute. Wendy engages in
leadership and learning experiences that utilize her expertise to facilitate growth and professional
development by serving as team lead, supervisor of student teachers, and an equity facilitator.
Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Fisk University, Nashville, TN. She earned her
Teacher’s License from the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY. She went on to receive her Master of
Arts in Education from Indiana Wesleyan, Marion, IN.
