OUR SOLUTION:

In 2020, the Hope CDC partnered with LISC Indianapolis to launch the Business Facade program on the Far Eastside. The program aims to enhance and improve the external appearance of commercial businesses and storefronts in a specific area or community. The objective is to enhance the visual appeal, economic vitality, and vibrancy of a business to support its impact and success. This is a reimbursement program that encourages business owners to make improvements to their location with the incentive of getting back their investment through LISC program funds.

The Need

The appearance and functionality of storefronts play a pivotal role in attracting customers and creating a positive impression. Many small businesses may face challenges in maintaining or upgrading their facades due to financial constraints. Facade and property improvement programs step in to bridge this gap by providing financial assistance and/or guidance for facade improvement projects. This assistance is crucial for businesses seeking to enhance their visual appeal, remain competitive, and draw foot traffic. By meeting this need, these programs contribute to the overall economic health of local communities, fostering a supportive environment for small businesses to thrive. The focus on facade improvement directly addresses the necessity for businesses to have an inviting and aesthetically pleasing presence, boosting their chances of success and positively impacting the economic landscape of the community.
